At New Life, we try not to take ourselves too seriously... but to be very serious about figuring out what it means to be a follower of Jesus. We want to be a place where it’s safe to wrestle with hard questions and difficult issues, where people can be real, and where you can laugh out loud.
New Life sprang onto the scene in 1993 when Centreville was a remote western suburb of Washington, DC. From the beginning the church met in rented facilities and had a familiar, informal feeling, kind of like bananas and Tabasco on a bowl of ice cream.
Over the years the number of people has grown and we’ve started meeting in multiple locations, but the desire to have the Bible be the source of our teaching, to see the lives of families and individuals radically change, and to serve the community in concrete ways has not.
